Dear Parents,
I have been chosen by my teachers at Masconomet Middle School to be the Service Ambassador for the Town of Boxford for Project 351 this year.  Project 351 is a youth service organization dedicated to building unity and leadership through the yearlong engagement and enrichment of an 8th grade service Ambassador from every city and town in Massachusetts.  Youth are selected by hometown educators for an exemplary ethic of service and the values of kindness, compassion, humility, and gratitude. Created as an event of Governor Patrick’s second inaugural and now convened by Governor Baker, Project 351 is a statewide non-profit organization that partners with an extraordinary community of educators, service and non-profit organizations, private sector and civic leaders, families, and volunteers to achieve its mission.  For more information about Project 351, follow this link:
I am running a clothing drive for Cradles to Crayons as part of my spring service from 3/28 – 4/1.  Cradles to Crayons is a Boston based non-profit whose mission is to help kids in poverty: kids who don’t have shoes that fit, or a coat warm enough to fend off winter winds, or a backpack to take their books and supplies to and from school.
Below are items that are on the wish list:

New and gently-used clothing (kids’ sizes 0-20; adult sizes small and medium)
Like-new shoes, sneakers, winter boots (infant/child sizes 0-13 and youth/adult sizes 1-10)
New and gently-used winter coats and spring jackets
New socks, underwear, and pajamas

Most Needed Items:
Boys long pants (Up to 30 inch waist)
Boys and girls shirts (ages 2-12)
New socks, underwear, and pajamas

You may send these items in with your child at the Spofford Pond School if you’d like to support this project!

Thank you for your consideration!
