From the Health Office:
Welcome back!! Thank you to everyone who returned their yellow emergency cards. Just a reminder Medications need to be delivered by an adult in the original container with the prescription label intact.
Please notify the school if your child is going to be absent from school. When calling please identify the reason for the absence so we can track illnesses/fevers present in school. If your child is diagnosed with flu, conjunctivitis, pneumonia, strep throat or head lice please call the school immediately so proper precautions can be taken to prevent further transmission. If a student is diagnosed with a bacterial infection the child must be on antibiotics for twenty-four hours prior to their return to school. If a child has vomiting or diarrhea wait twenty-four hours after symptoms improve to send your child to school.
The State of Massachusetts requires that all 4th grade students have an updated physical on file. This requirement can be filled with a physical completed any time after January 1, 2016. All 6th graders need a copy of their immunizations on file before entering seventh grade. The following immunizations are required one dose of Tdap, 2 doses of MMR vaccine and 2 doses of Varicella vaccine. We would also like a TB Risk Assessment” documented from your child’s physician. Thank you to those who have already turned these in.
Thank you so much for helping to keep our school healthy!!
