Join TTC and Middelton Health and Wellness for a screening of The Empowerment Project on Tuesday May 2, 2017  7pm-8:30pm at Howe Manning School (cafeteria) Middleton.  Recommended for Parents/Caregivers, Educators AND Girls & Boys in Grades 4 and up.  Spotlighting 8 positive and powerful women leaders across a variety of lifestyles and industries, this film inspires women and girls to push their boundaries and not be afraid to fail.  This film is a way to celebrate strong, inspiring women in  leadership roles all across the world. And, by telling their stories, we start to redefine women’s roles in the media, the workplace, and in the home.  Screening of The Empowerment Project will be followed by facilitated discussion with Dierdre Baker, Technology Integration Specialist at Howe Manning School and TTC staff.  More info and register here.

Ackerman Playground

The Ackerman Playground Committee is planning a playground equipment and repair fundraising initiative. As you know, the Ackerman Playground is the only community playground in Boxford for the families of our community to enjoy with their children. The playground is very much in need of important repairs including new equipment so that we can continue to use the playground and keep our children safe. We are reaching out to the community to ask for your support for this project. Our goal is to provide all children and families in our community a safe and fun place to play. Support at any level is greatly appreciated and all donations are fully tax deductible. At this time we are only able to accept donations via check made out to “Town of Boxford/Ackerman Playground”. Checks can be mailed to: Ackerman Playground Committee c/o Treasurer’s Office 7a Spofford Rd Boxford, MA 01921. All donors will receive a letter to acknowledge your donation and include information to make your donation tax deductible. In addition, donations in the amount of $50 or more will receive a personalized placard 1”x4” that will be placed on the fence post surrounding the playground as a token of appreciation. If you have any questions please contact the Ackerman Playground Committee ackermanplaygroundcommittee@gmail.com or like our Facebook page: facebook.com/ackerman.playground.boxford to track our progress and stay up to date on Ackerman Playground news and happenings! We greatly appreciate your support! Sincerely, The Ackerman Playground Committee
