Pokemon Cards

Dear Parents,

Unfortunately, Pokemon cards will not be allowed at school. We have had many children very upset  with “trader’s regret” or  losing cards here.  It has caused too much stress among friendships at recess and on the bus. As a result, teaching and learning time are also affected with children who are upset coming in from recess.  Thank you for your help with this!
Sincerely,

Kathryn Castonguay, Principal

Math Olympiad

Hello Parents,

We will be having Math Olympiad teams in Grades 4, 5, and 6 again this year.  As in the past we will be using previous year’s Mcas data and teacher recommendations to select students to participate in the program.  We are expecting the state to release MCAS scores in mid October.  When we receive these scores, teachers and Dr. Castonguay will meet to discuss the data.  Selected students will be invited to participate in 5 contests and weekly practices that will be held during the grade level RTI block.  We will begin in late October and the program will run until early March.

Sincerely,
