Preserve a Piece of Boxford’s History!

Help preserve an iconic Boxford treasure for future generations!  In the 1800s, Schoolhouse #2, also called the Palmer School and now known as the Little Red Schoolhouse was built to educate the youth of Boxford.  Originally located further down Main Street, the school was moved to the rear of the Cole School campus many years ago.

The Friends of the Little Red Schoolhouse has worked and will continue to work to rehab the building so that it can be turned into a museum so that Boxford students and teachers can experience what school life was like during this era.

The Friends is looking for new members to work on this project to restore this historic building.  Any interested parents, community members or school staff interested in learning more or working with the Friends of the Little Red Schoolhouse on this exciting project, please contact Nancy Merrill at 978-887-2194 or 978-766-4613 or email nancymerrill@comcast.net.
